Inspired by Slavic folk tradition, this workshop invites you to create your own \u003cstrong\u003eMotanka\u003c\/strong\u003e: a symbolic doll made by wrapping, layering and knotting fabric, without sewing or needles.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMotanki have long been associated with wishes, protection and important moments in life. We’ll begin by sharing some of the folklore behind them, then take a little time to slow down and explore an intention that feels meaningful to you right now. You don’t need to arrive knowing what yours will be.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThen comes the making. Choose from fabrics, ribbons, yarns, herbs and natural materials to create a doll that is entirely your own. There’s no template to follow and no two Motanki are alike.
